School Voices: Learning How to Become a Leader

Honesty, respect, confidence, and caring, are just a few words that I use to describe a leader.

At my school, there are many different opportunities that let my fellow students and I take a role in being leaders. Recently, I had the opportunity to be an ambassador at Akiva School’s Open House.  It was an amazing responsibility that allowed me to interact with adults while showing them my school and it was a chance for me to let other people know how amazing I think my school is.

Another example was reading to the kindergarten class and assisting with their programs during lunch. I love being a leader because it makes me happy to see that what I’m doing is having a positive impact on other people.
