Personalize your kid's birthday party

For some reason, autumn is littered with two things: falling leaves and an influx of kids’ birthday parties (I personally think it’s all that holiday cheer). I’ve been to, and hosted, my fair share of kids’ birthday bashes, and I think I know a thing or two (or 45) about what makes for a successful ‘do, for both the honouree as well as his or her parents. So, here are some ways to personalize your kid's birthday party.

Hire an animator. It takes the pressure off mom and dad, and it can be a great way to kill some time keeping the kids entertained. Find an animator that is age- and interest-appropriate. Have an animal lover? Consider hiring a reptile expert. Little one loves princess? Got a science buff or a child who is into magic. Hire Dinoversaire.

Plan an activity. Every child has a passion for something, so find a venue where the birthday boy/girl can share their passion with friends. It could be art, singing, gaming, dance, or just about anything. Tap into what makes your kid tick and make that the central theme of their celebration.

Pick up some fun décor or tableware accessories. It’s all about the details, right? Party store suppliers like Giggles, Party Expert, and Pop & Confetti have an endless array of theme or colour-specific themes to make your fete one-of-a-kind.
